  Concrete sleeper retaining walls

Concrete sleeper retaining walls can be constructed from patterned or plain finish concrete sleepers. They are installed with galvanised ‘H’ beam, adding to the durability of the wall. The advantage of concrete sleeper retaining walls is in their strength, durability, resistance to fire and rot, flexibility in design, low maintenance and ease of installation. Backfill and drainage are important components of building concrete retaining walls.

Concrete tilt panel

Concrete tilt panel walls have all the advantages of Concrete sleeper walls and they are installed using a galvanised ‘H’ beam, adding to the durability of the wall. The height of these walls can be raked and built to suit the slope of the land.

Dry wall blocks

Dry wall blocks are an effective retaining wall solution due to their look and cost-effectiveness. These walls are constructed with no mortar and placed on solid foundations. Backfill and drainage are important components of constructing dry block retaining walls.

Besser block walls

Reinforced concrete block retaining walls are often used where retaining walls are positioned close to the building or need to support a building, for both residential and commercial properties. Backfill and drainage are important components of building concrete walls. These retaining walls are built from large hollow concrete blocks, steel reinforcing bars and concrete core filled. A Besser block wall construction is structurally strong and long lasting.

Timber retaining walls

Timber retaining walls are NOT recommended for boundaries, but are a cost-effective solution for terracing your yard or garden beds. Timber retaining walls are NOT recommended due to a wide load area, putting pressure on posts causing walls to collapse or lean over a period of time. Treated pine rots therefore does not provide longevity required for boundary locations, or areas with difficult access.

Replacement of failing retaining walls

We can offer a short term band aid solution if your existing retaining wall is failing or we can remove the existing failing retaining wall and replace it with a new retaining wall that is engineered and constructed with adequate drainage for longevity. We are happy to work with you to find the best solution for your job.
